St. Patrick's Day - My Time In Ireland
In honor of St. Patricks Day, I found it fitting to post about my trip to Ireland! Matthew and I went last September, and we plan on going back. It's the perfect place to go if you just want to relax, see some sheep, eat fish n' chips, or sip on some Guinness.
All I ate on this trip was Fish N' Chips. I was in heaven!
Matt and I felt fortunate enough to have gone to Ireland at a time where the weather was pleasant. We witnessed some of the most magical sunsets and both felt completely overwhelmed the evening we saw this one!
On this trip, I also ate A-LOT of butter and toast. As soon as we came home to the states I went straight to a grocery store and purchased Kerrigold butter. If you haven't tried, you're missing out.
On our list of things to do was the Blarney Stone. Kissing Ireland’s Blarney Stone, a tradition that’s been around for several centuries, is said to give a person the gift of eloquence and persuasiveness. Btw, the stone is actually at the top of that GIANT castle!
I feel like I discovered more than just a beautiful countryside and a charming populace in Ireland. When I returned home I felt changed, like I had found a part of me I didn't know existed. I can truly say that I was missing out on a piece of life until I visited the Emerald Isle.
So add Ireland to your must-dos and even if it's not this year you can still get out there and grab a piece of the experience in your local Irish pub tonight! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
